Typefaces was a hard choice and it needed to look good as every page had type on it so need to work together. started off my focusing on the body copy the size was going to be 6 to 10pt from a previous project Helvetica Neue was a clear typeface to use as body copy and a good typeface to set on the pages, tried it out and came out well and was legible even on a really small pt size.
next looked at serif fonts front the letters on each page they were going to be big on the page about 100pt size, wanted a modern look however the look of serif fonts, then looked at two Times and FreightBig Pro. Both had a modern and minimal look however in my design work i mostly use a san serif typeface so i thought i could be made better with a clear bold san serif, then try Helvetica, Helvetica Neue, DIN Alternate and DIN Alternate. played around with the size and the different ones with he body copy, straight away found out that DIN Alternate didn't look right with a wide body text and Helvetica was to similar to the body copy. The combination that came out really well was DIN Alternate a fantastic typeface a under used typeface compared to Helvetica, The DIN is clear minimal and even though is a san serif still stood out and looked different from Helvetica. Also a small change in the design by having in capitals and not next to each other it just gave the page a bit more to look at.
On the page there was also going to be type going a long the top page with the folio, from a previous from project from last year a typeface work really well with the number and also look great as a body of text, the typeface is Monaco a san serif typeface. Applied this to page and it came out great it looked different from the rest of the type on the page and also was legible even when made small.
these 3 typeface compliment each other and really stand out on the page.
