From look on the internet and in my book and also in book shops like village, the layout of a photograph book can be minimal, basic and layout and be very different on each page or there can be a clear grid system. The freedom of a book is amazing from looking in the village just photograph books have photos in different sizes and almost a different layout on each page. However in a book where you have type and images you can see some sort of grid has been used.
In the book there will be type and images, the idea is to have type on the left side and image on the right side. Each image will be the same size and shape thought the publication, and the type will be in the middle on the the opposite page. this means that i can keep the book looking minimal and will give the type and image white shape around the image. this also means the book will be consistent though out each page.
