For the layout it need to be something, minimal, modern, clear, white space, minimal colours max 2 and a double page per letter.
From the research there was some really minimal simple layouts, this is what the book needs to be mostly type and simple. also in the research a lot of books are using 2 or 3 colours max which will work well at keeping it minimal, the page layout will be a double page spread with the letter and body on one page and the other the photo. This will keep it clear and with give it a lot of room to breath and stops it from looking busy and over crowed.
