OUGD504 - Studio brief 01 stock research

Light sand paper

thin
smooth
off white
coloured paper

Don't think this paper will work its too off white and almost yellow. also needs to be a little bit thicker. i want my paper to have some thickness to it.

White Card

thick
plain white
smooth
modern

This is the right thickness i want for my leaflet, and the plain white will make my reds and blacks look bold and standout. the plain white also gives it a modern feel and thats what i want my leaflet to be, im defiantly going to print on this paper very and see how it comes out or a paper close to this one like white matte.

Antique white

off white
thin / thick

the off white is almost right close to what i want, but i think it just need to be a little more white to keep that modern feel but it may work. I also feel the stock needs to be a little more thicker.

Off White sugar paper

thin
off white
rip
textured

I think this paper is far too thin and would rip easy so could be damaged before someone even get to look at it. i want to print on off white however this is too off white its almost grey.

Watercolour paper

thick
textured
almost off white

the thickness is right the stock im looking for. however the textured paper my affected the print and i think it also takes away the modern look im going for. the colour i right its white but slightly off white which is what i want.

from a project i did last year i printed a booklet on off white, i definitely going to print on that again as it came out really well and i used the same colours and it made the black and red really pop out and look bold. and it also thick so its perfect for what i want, i will also print on matte white to see what one come out better and compare both to get the best one.
