OUGD505 - Studio Brief 01 Licence to Print Money (final digital design)

From the research into the banknotes, modern graphic design and the initial ideas has come this design. the final design uses elements from the original banknote but designed in a minimal trendy design, from the modern poster i looked at repetition is something i wanted to include in my design and i have and it has come out really well. the design is exciting, strong, bold and modern, the use of different types of fonts makes curtain part stand out more than overs. the amount of type and number really makes this design standout using the elements from the original note still keeps the look of the note. the simple design means it could work for the full banknote family there would only be little changes to each one like size, colour and the layout, i decided to keep the design to two colours as i felt the design was bold and strong enough with just these colours also it will make screen printing a little bit more easier to do. the colours also give it the British feel red and white. The reason for not including a year on my banknote design is because the more recent banknotes don't always include a year because it's unnecessary nowadays. The design is how i wanted to it to come out a redesign of the pound note in a modern graphic way but keeping some of the original elements, the design is strong and i am pleased with the look of it.

Banknote elements that are include in my design.

-Bank of England
-Reference number/code
-'I promise to pay the bearer the sum of..'
-The sum written in full
