OUGD503- Studio Brief 01 Secret 7 Development

Once the images were edited I then started to develop them in the secret 7 sizes 185mm - 184mm with a 3 mm bleed. From the research I really like album covers with a boarder around the image. I placed the images in the middle and made them small so there was a wide boarder. I then played around with full bleed images and black backgrounds. However this didn't look right as the black didn't work with the colour of the image and also with the subject of the images, the full bleed images also didn't look good it looked too busy and the images were too big. With the boarder around the images I think it makes them look clearer and a white background seemed to be the best, after talking to my peers I got very positive feedback on this decision.
I think the background should have something on it just to add more to it, an idea is to use paint and experiment and see how it looks.

After taking the photos I edited them on Photoshop in to black and white and also added filters to them to make them look more vintage, almost like an SLR camera film photo. The images have came out really well and would look great on a album cover, I also feel they will work for the chosen artists and song.

These are the chosen images that will be taken forward and developed, the images will be edited on Photoshop to play around with the colours and filters. The images look great and will work well as album covers, the images look urban which was the main theme for the project.
