for website the type sizes are different to print sizes. They come in body, H1, H2, H3, H4 and blockquote.
For the desktop design the font size is 24PT this is H2 for desktop and size 2.25EM (36px)
The main font size used on my phone is 12pt and 8pt, phone size is 1EM (16px)
For the typeface, DIN Alternate its a modern clean typeface that really legible and only used the one typeface and family this would bring down the price of the website. As it would cost the company more to have different weights of the typeface. to use the type face you would have to buy the license to use that font.
