For this poster the typeface needs to be bold, clear, legible and also formal / serious. this is an awareness campaign so it needs to be formal and really legible.
for most of the type its going to be a san serif as its clear, bold and will be legible when people are walk past the posters. it also keeps it formal, The typefaces that are san serif that will be on the poster however not together are DIN ALTERNATE and ALTERNATE GOTHIC COM. Both are bold and clear, DIN is personal my favourite front has work well on previews projects, the font is really clear and modern and would work well at a formal poster. Alternate Gothic Com is a font i have never used before and have always wanted to uses it also i typeface Monotype uses. Both work well as formal serious typeface which is perfect or an awareness campaign. These typefaces will be the heading and subheadings.
For the Body text and subheadings will be Times as i'm trying to create the definition style on google when searching a word. This will also make it standout from the other type even though it will be a lot smaller. using the two typefaces will keep the posters exciting and Times is still a serious and formal typeface, Times will also work well with the chosen san serifs.
The idea of having this definition styled body text means its a short but powerful and simple sentence of writing but has a big impacted with strong powerful words to make the view shocked and scared about the effects of laughing gas.
