OUGD503- Studio Brief 01 D&AD Monotype Poster Development

From the ideas part continued to work on the posters and images that worked well, the image with the one canister gave poster a layout already and also gave a lot of white space around the image. using DIN at 80pt it create this design and it came really well bold and clear still with a lot of white space. Adding the body text made the poster more formal but it still looks creative which is great.

The first image has a yellow / cream glow which makes the image look messy and not clean, changing the image to black and white made it more clean, but it also has some dark and light areas which gives it a 3D effect and also give it depth. The cleaner image make the type more bold and standout. The image and type combination create a really big impacted as is very eye catching. The white space also looks great and keeps the poster looks minimal and also stops the poster from being too busy. Keeping the type close the image will make the viewer see the image and type at the same time, and also having the heading in both corners makes the views look all over the page.

Using  Alternate Gothic Com no 3 in the almost the same way as the DIN poster keeping it simple and clear, has worked really well it has kept it formal and probably even more legible than the DIN poster.

Both poster have came out really well and these two will defiantly be submitting to D&AD. Using this layout this will be applied to an image that could possible work and also to a digital element and on a touchpoint, now i have a layout and a style this can be applied to everything.
