I really like this magazine i think the use of black makes every think standout from the book. 

The 3 image would be a great why to show some facts or even for listing some cocktails down like the top 20. Also font used is really clear and easy to read which is good, the black paper also works with the images to make them standout put it also stop the image from overpowering and taking away from the text next to it.  

On this magazine i like the big bold type on the page it really standouts i could use this when trying to get across a really important fact or statistic. 

This is a really nice way i could show most of my images on two pages, i like this idea but i am a fan of a nice big taking up one whole page like the one at the top, however this would stop the booklet from being about 50 pages which i don' want to do. 

This one i like because of use of two colours on the same double page spread, the colours work well together i think i my booklet i am going to try use colour or black. The typeface is really nice and simple and looks like a cocktail menu typeface bold and clear, Both pages have a nice layout clear and simple it would work for show the fact, statistics or even cocktails. i also like the space around the type a lot space makes it feel more relaxed and not to busy all on one page. 

This one also uses two coloured paper i really like this look make the pages really standout and look different from other magazines. But the main things i like about this magazine is the typeface they are very bold and they use a lot of different ones. The second thing i like about it is the numbers at the bottom big slab font that looks really modern also like football player numbers on the back of there shirts, i also like how they are centred in the middle of the page instead of the corners which is a nice change. 

Also the third image is a really good way i could display my images on the page simple and not too busy just a couple of images a great idea nice layout one i may use in my own booklet.

I really like this layout and how they have divided the page up with the lines and numbers, this could be a really good way of showing my top 20 cocktails and its ingredients. really simple not too much going on. 

I had the idea of having little icons in the corner of each page, Like in Sagmeister's book 'made you look' but instead of dog being chopped up by a meat cleaver i'm going to use different shaped cocktail classes.
