I want my design to be simple not a lot going on, I’m going
to try and keep it similar to the chemical brother style. There cover style is
very bold with a strong image with white space but I want it to represent the artists not the song as I feel to could do more things that represent the chemical
brothers but maybe still take elements from the song like the trippy images and
also maybe time.
Most album covers don’t relate to songs, one of my favourite Dj
steve angello his label Size uses marble ink effect as there album covers also
in his own album covers don’t relate to the song. This allows the album covers to be more free for
creativity which makes them sand out more from over design.
I think I am going to simple and minimal like the album
covers for clean bandit, Arctic monkeys and Size label I like simple design of
these album covers and they look more like artwork you hang on a wall instead
of placing it on a album which I like because it gives it more of a creative
look and feel.
