Cover 2 is a cover similar to cover 1 however it will printed on a thick matte 200 to 300g/m2. the binding method would be perfect bound and with and exposed spine. the inside pages would be 120 to 200g/m2, if the the book is thick and able to have a spine would great a spine.
Looking at books at lot of cover many had just type cover which come out really well, and the type only cover would link with the project as its looking at different typeface. The cover was going to minimal and using the typefaces from the inside pages and also the colours.
Looking in the type only book and on its blog there was some really interesting type covers which were at angles and also cover the whole cover. played around with different ways of having the type. Looking at the type only cover the design is very modern and bold i used this to inspire the design. The type was made as big as it could go and covered the whole cover and then added the location of the type.The typeface is DIN which is one of the mean typefaces used in the book also added the blue to the cover to help it link with the inside pages. The cover was very basic with a white background which made me to add the grey similar to the type only book. The first grey was too dark and could make it hard to read the smaller type on the page. then tried a lighter grey and it made the type really stand out and legible which is key.
